“You see, bookshops are dreams built of wood and paper. They are time travel and escape and knowledge and power. They are, simply put, the best of places.” ― Jen CampbellThe Bookshop Book

October 24/19 - We have raised $345 so far for the Castle Park Elementary Learning Garden!
Author Owen Carlsen is in Grade r now and Illustrator Kiana Hrabinsky is at middle school, but they worked together on this project at Castle Park Elementary School, here in Coquitlam. We have lots of copies of Rubber Nosed Swamp Donkey in the store, so come on in, support a terrific project for a local school, support these two children in their early and awesome community involvement! To find out more about the project, and learn more about Owen and Kiana, here's an article from the Tri-City News.

Many of the books we have in the store were written by writers who belong to the long running Port Moody Writers Group. Several of these writers, lead by Erik D'Souza, recently published the anthology, New Beginnings: A Collection of Creative Writing from BC Writers. Conceived as a fundraiser for Share Family & Community Services Society, the book features over 30 writers, and includes short story and fiction excerpts, memoir, and children's stories.  Please come by the store to pick up your copy. You'll be delighted with the range and quality of the writing, and you'll be supporting a much loved  and much needed agency in the Tri-Cities too!

Did you know?
You can search for new and used books and purchase digital audiobooks on this website!

To get you started, we highlighted some books on this page, under the section headings above. Just scroll left or right then click on picture of the book cover. The site is also searchable with the search bar at the top of the page, or by clicking the browse button, which will bring you to our full listings. From there you can search by author, subject, title, even the ISBN. When you click on individual books, you can see the option to purchase it as an audiobook. When you click on any Libro.fm picture on the page, you can also search for audio books that we do not have on hand! So any book you want is right at your fingertips!

And don't forget, you can shop online and put your books through for pick up in the store.
